Tours

The Ameal Moore Nature Center provides free educational programming to the public.  We love visits from school groups, scouts, home schooling groups, and foreign visiting students!  If you or an organization you are with is interested in touring the center you will need to make a reservation.  Reservations are required for groups of 25 students or more (this number does not include adult chaperons).

Individuals and smaller groups are welcome to visit without a reservation, however, please be aware that center staff may have other reservations to attend to.  It is suggested that all groups of more than 5 students make a reservation.  Please make reservations at least a month in advance to ensure that we can accommodate you.

Scheduled visits include a guided hike* and lesson on the topic of your choice (see below for topics).

Topics include:

  • Avian Raptors
  • Native and Invasive Species
  • Large Mammals
  • Food Chains and Food Webs
  • Tracking

Please contact Ebony Perkins at eperkins@riversideca.gov with any questions or to make a reservation.

*While the Ameal Moore Nature Center itself is wheelchair accessible and friendly, the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park trails that the center sits at are not.
