Volunteering with the City of Riverside can be a fun and rewarding activity. The nature center is always happy to have volunteers help staff various educational events. For more information, please contact Jessica Ochoa at JOchoa@riversideca.gov
We’re looking forward to working with you!
Would like to know more about volunteering
Hi Nina,
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! To volunteer with us, you need to go online to riversideca.gov and apply to be a volunteer. The process is similar to applying for a job. You’ll need to create an account, and then fill out an ‘application.’ Make sure you select ‘museum’ in the department area. Once you have done that, please contact us again and let us know. If you would like to first discuss the sorts of opportunities we have available, please give us a call! You can contact the center Thurs or Saturday to speak with our volunteer coordinator at 951-826-2596.
Is there a specific age limit? My daughters are 13 and 15 and looking for volunteer opportunities.
Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your question. The City of Riverside requires volunteers to be 14 years and older. If you are interested in pursuing education volunteer opportunities, you can email Kim Cobb at kcobb@riversideca.gov or go online to view the volunteer application process at Riversideca.gov.
My name is Rtta Armstrong and I’m interested in volunteering but I’m only available on the weekend.
Hi Rita,
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! The city has been redesigning their volunteer process. Once they are finished with the changes in March, you can apply through the city website. You will need to go online to riversideca.gov and apply. The process is similar to applying for a job. You’ll need to create an account, and then fill out an ‘application.’ Make sure you select ‘museum’ in the department area. Once you have done that, please contact Kim Cobb at KCobb@riversideca.gov and let her know. She can discuss volunteer opportunities with Parks and Recreation with you.
