The Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park is a great place to hike! Our 25 miles of official trails make a great addition to anyone’s day. The Ameal Moore Nature Center offers guided hikes into the park at 9am every 1st Saturday of the month. Hikes are about 0.6 miles, usually last for 45-60 minutes, and are easy enough for small children to attend though strollers are not suggested due to the ‘wilderness’ terrain (it is suggested that visitors with difficulties walking up hills and rough terrain survey the trails first).
Hikes are subject to cancellation in extreme temperatures. Please check back regularly to see if hikes have been canceled due to the weather.

*Occasionally, hikes will be guided by special visiting guests. These guests may lead a hike with a specific topic. In these cases, hikes may start earlier or later, depending on the subject matter (subjects may include a focus on birds, plants, or reptiles). Please wear appropriate hiking attire.
