February 17, 2018 | All Day | Ameal Moore Nature Center | Free | Family Friendly
The Ameal Moore Nature Center is a hub for Citizen Science!  We love helping citizens understand that they can help contribute to science and regularly help visitors join Citizen Science projects.  Sometimes it can be as easy as taking a picture!  Starting this year, we’re launching our C.S.I. (Citizen Science Initiative) days.  Every 3rd Saturday of the month, we’ll be specifically focusing on a Citizen Science Project and will be teaching visitors how they can get involved!  Join us and get your science on!

This C.S.I. day join us as we participate in the global project The Great Backyard Bird Count!  Scientists and citizens all over the world participate in this yearly global project first created by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Audubon Society.  We’ll be leading 2 hikes into the park at 9am and 10am to participate in the event at the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park but will also be teaching visitors how to participate in their own neighborhoods all day long.  Bring your binoculars and come prepared to help us count birds!
